“So how would you go about enacting this “best for all” revolution? Equal monetary distribution, land redistribution, power stripping? How do you go about measuring what is “equal” and what isn’t? I’m not against communism per say, but certain individuals should make more than other less skilled ones. I believe the government should see that the basic needs of the individuals are met, thus liberating him from financial systems”
I’d use democracy. 1 person, 1 vote, majority rules. The only reason why some are “better triained” than others is due the bundling of education and money. Equal education opportunity for everyone would benefit the whole world, not just those who can afford it. Socrates and Plato had the same idea as you do, but did you know they based their anti-democratic notions on religious terms? They thought that kings, philosopher and statesmen were given “the best souls” and should rule everyone else. Socrates taught that to his students and was against democratic values, all because of a religious ideal that benefited and justified the rule of the aristocracy of Athens at the expense of democracy. That’s why Socrates was given the death penalty.
It’s very simple. A dual revenue stream that (1) provides basic needs and services. A stipend or whatever you want to call it. Included: shelter, food and education. The second stream takes care of (2) Luxury that one trades time for the thing desired, either produced of bought outright, so those that just have to “have more than another” can scratch that itch.
Yes, power will be removed from those who have too much. They have too much, so they must give it up. The majority will accept equality because it will benefit them, and when they see that, they will also see that it benefits all.
