When one becomes addicted to drugs, there’s a cognitive dissonance that is not prone to discover the irony of their downfall. “Whoonga,” is a stomach-rotting mixture of dagga (weed), detergent, rat poison and HIV medication that is taking the townships in Durban, South Africa by storm. Addicts are now intentionally contacting AIDS/HIV to get a free supply of the HIV drug and use it to get an apparently wonderful high that slowly kills them.
